How to use red clay to eliminate vitiligo
Red clay is used globally for natural treatment of vitiligo. Red clay has high levels of the micronutrient copper. Red clay helps copper to permeate the skin where it can help melanin synthesis to get the skin color black. There are no risks attached to using red clay as a natural remedy to get rid of vitiligo.
- 1 teaspoon of red clay
- 1 teaspoon ginger juice
- Mix 1 teaspoon of red clay with 1 teaspoon of ginger juice to form a thick paste
- Massage the paste gently on affected white patches for a minute or so
- Ensure the paste in the same ratio if the skin area to cover requires more paste
- Keep a thick layer of the paste on your skin as mask
- Leave it there for 30 minutes
- Rinse it with warm water
- Repeat 2-3 times daily for best results
The ginger in the paste supposedly helps to improve blood circulation for the copper in the red clay to get absorbed by the skin. Copper will help melanin synthesis to release pigments which will then get rid of the vitiligo white patches.
