Papaya Leaf May Be a Potent Anti-cancer Food

Several studies have confirmed that the extract from papaya leaf can slow down cancer cell growth. The findings indicated that though papaya extract is not a cure for cancer, when a cancerous tumor was exposed to the papaya leaf extract, the growth slowed down considerably.

This is good news for cancer patients. Despite the huge sum of money that has been spent towards countless research for cancer cures, it has still remained an incurable disease just like HIV/AIDS.

Compared to the chemotherapy, papaya extract has the ability to slow down cancer growth without the negative side effects.

For the research, ten (10) different types of cancer including breast, lung, pancreatic, cervix and liver cancer were all exposed to the papaya leaf extract. The researchers discovered that the extract slowed down the growth of tumors in all cases. Also, the anticancer effect of papaya extract on the cancers appeared to be higher with larger doses of the extract.
