The following are some health tips you can follow to maintain proper vaginal hygiene.
- Avoid use of fragrance products like scented soaps, vaginal washes, talcum powder, etc, around your vaginal area because these products can cause irritation.
- Don’t use soap excessively on the vagina because it can affect the pH balance of the sensitive skin. Be gentle when washing the vaginal area with unscented soap.
- Always wash from vagina to the anus and not the other way round to avoid introducing bacteria from the anal opening to your vagina.
